Nekima’s author visits are energetic, pairing a traditional storytime of her children’s book, J is for Justice, with engaging activities like activity pages and students creating their own protest signs. All school visits are personalized to the age range and needs of the classroom.

JJ Legacy School Visit

Nekima visited JJ Legacy Charter school in North Minneapolis and read her the children’s book she authored, “J is for Justice.” It teaches young readers about freedom, justice and equality. Students practiced chants before @nekimal led a mock protest through the hallways.

Each student was given a copy of “J is for Justice” to take home.
